"Baked Peach"

Recipe from "Cranberry Manor Bed and Breakfast"

Our guests Sarki and his wife Charnette brought us some gorgeous, huge, and delicious peaches from Lancaster, via Philadelphia Farmers Market.  Guest ate them for breakfast.  The peaches were so big I didn’t think the guests were going to have room for the main course.  But they did.

Prep Time:  15 Minutes

Serves:  6

Cook Time:  About 30 minutes

Directions:

3 Freestone Peaches or peaches with a easily removable pit.

6 Teaspoons of Brown Sugar

3 Tablespoons of Butter

1 Teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon

2 Tablespoons of White Sugar

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.

Wash peaches.  Slice peaches in half.  Remove Pit.  Place into oven safe dish or on a baking pan with raised edges

Place 1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar in the hole where the pit was.  Its OK if it falls over the top of the hole.  Place ½ Tablespoon of butter on top of the brown sugar.  Mix white sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle generously across the top of the peaches.

Bake at 350 Degrees for about 30 minutes.

Serve warm.

Variation:  Add some ice cream if you want.  Use honey instead of the brown sugar.
