"Mississippi Pot Roast"

This is a super easy crockpot recipe. The typical Mississippi Pot Roast is made using Chuck Roast. You can also use a pork shoulder or Boston butt. This makes a really great dinner and even better leftovers for sandwiches.

Crockpot:  High

Prep Time:  15 Minutes

Serves: 6

Cook Time: 4.5 – 5 hours

Ingredients:

1 Chuck Roast or Pork Should or Boston Butt or other Choice of Meat

1 Packet of Dry Ranch Dressing

1 Packet of AuJus Gravy or Brown Gravy

1 Stick of Butter

4 – 5 Whole Jarred Pepperoncini (Optional)

Recipe Option:  I add carrots, potatoes, onion, and mushrooms and serve as a pot roast meal.

Directions:

Place Chuck Roast or your choice or meat in the crock pot.  Place the stick of butter on top.  Sprinkle the packet of AuJus and Dry Ranch dressing over the top of the meat.  Top with the Pepperoncini (optional).

Cook on High for 4.5 – 5 hours till tender. 

Serving suggestions and options:

On hamburger buns or  

As a main dish.  I add in small potatoes, carrots, onions and mushrooms and serve as a pot roast dinner.
